Database Administrator (DBA)

What you'll be doing

Working closely with IT staff and Developers to ensure our in-house Microsoft SQL Server Databases are operating as efficiently as possible. You'll be responsible for maintenance, backup plans, upgrades, migrations, and analysis/recommendations for database errors and performance issues. Additionally, you'll assist developers with schema/procedure design, as well as assist upper management with advanced stored procedures for business reporting purposes. We are looking for candidates who enjoy installing/maintaining databases just as much as they like coding SQL to look at the data in those databases.

What you'll need

  • 3+ Years experience installing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and later versions
  • Experience working in a development and production environment
  • Experience with performance tuning and deadlock analysis
  • Experience with complex SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Experience with clustering, backup, recovery, and upgrades
  • Thorough understanding of T-SQL, DTS, IIS,SSIS
  • Ability to accurately work within the company conventions for database object naming and SQL code within stored procedures and triggers
  • Ability to work in a team and individually
  • Additional experience in .Net C# is a plus
